DK Impian Serviced Residence – Shah Alam

DK Impian Serviced Residence is an RM30 million, fully furnished studio apartment development in Shah Alam / Sungai Buloh, Selangor, spanning 11 distinct studio layout types. ZCube was engaged for both design consultancy and full project management over a two-year build, one of the studio’s largest-scale engagements to date.

Design Concept & Approach

“Every layout had to solve the same problem in a different footprint: how to blend living, cooking, and sleeping zones seamlessly using space-saving, transformable folding furniture, without any unit feeling identical or compromised. The design direction kept a cohesive, contemporary interior language running across all 11 typologies, so the development reads as one coherent product line even though each unit is planned differently.

Beyond design, ZCube took on full project management and contract administration for the development, construction management, quality control, and coordinating mass fabrication and installation of customised, compact furniture across every layout variation. That dual role, spatial designer and on-the-ground project manager, meant bridging architectural intent and interior fit-out execution across hundreds of units without letting budget or schedule slip over the two-year build.”
